The Lazarus Union Kenya, as an integral part of the Lazarus Union International, a distinguished international NGO with General Consultative Status at the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations, envisions a future for Kenya and the wider East African region where prosperity, dignity, and social justice are not just aspirations but lived realities for all. Our mission is firmly rooted in the principles of the United Nations Agenda 2030 and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which guide our efforts to create a fair and equitable society.

In Kenya and East Africa, we prioritize a holistic approach to development that addresses the region’s unique challenges while leveraging its vast potential. Our focus is on fostering sustainable economic growth that lifts communities out of poverty, ensures food security, and provides quality education for all. We are committed to SDG 1 (No Poverty) and SDG 2 (Zero Hunger), aiming to create resilient communities where every individual has access to the necessities of life.

We recognize that true development is impossible without gender equality and the empowerment of all people, regardless of gender, ethnicity, or socioeconomic status. Thus, SDG 5 (Gender Equality) and SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities) are central to our vision. By promoting inclusivity and equal opportunities, we strive to dismantle the systemic barriers that perpetuate inequality and injustice.

Additionally, the Lazarus Union Kenya is dedicated to protecting the environment and combating climate change, as these are critical to the sustainability of any development efforts. We are aligned with SDG 13 (Climate Action) and SDG 15 (Life on Land), working towards conserving natural resources, restoring ecosystems, and promoting practices that ensure a healthy planet for future generations.
